This group focuses on bringing awareness of social justice issues and concerns to the members of the congregation. Activities have included visits to other faith communities and the hosting of members of these communities at EMUC. Members of the group continue to be in solidarity with neighbouring faith communities in times of trouble (e.g., participating in Rings of Peace after acts of violence against Muslim communities) and participate in regional inter-faith activities.
The Interfaith, Justice and Peace group hosts an Amnesty International Write for Rights event in December. Letters are written to, and on behalf of prisoners of conscience and those who are threatened because of their advocacy for justice.

The Interfaith, Justice and Peace group welcomes all who want to live out their faith by advocating for social justice and maintaining positive relationships with other faith communities.
February is Black History Month. Special services with vibrant music and moving reflections to celebrate the creativity, leadership and wisdom of Black people are held. A reception follows worship featuring the tastes of Afro-Caribbean cuisine.
