Children Under 4
Quiet Room
For parents of babies and toddlers there is a quiet/conference room at the back of the church. Parents can observe the service through windows and listen to it via the sound system. While not sound-proof, the room limits noise from carrying.

Sunday Nursery Programs
Age 6 months-5 years During most Sunday services, there is a nursery program for infants 6 months to 2.5 years of age, and preschool children 2.5 to 5 years of age. This program is fully supervised. Paid childcare providers will be supervising the children. The program is located in the downstairs Nursery. If you have any questions, please contact N. Sweetnam via the office.

Also, some weeks the Sing Out Loud Choir for children age 3 to high school meets to practice after the Sunday service. Check the Events Calendar for dates.

Note: some services are intended for all ages. The nursery programs may not be offered during those services. Check with the office for more information.

Baby Care
A diaper changing table is available in the wheelchair-accessible washroom on the upper level just through the doors near the coffee area.

Preschool Programs
No pre-school programs are available at this time.

Past themes have included “Jesus was a kid, too” and “Survivor: Erin Mills!”

Various off-site activities include roller skating, glow-in-the-dark bowling, swimming, toboganning, and retreats to the Five Oaks center.

Teen Talk
During Sunday service, teens in high school meet to discuss teen-relevant issues and explore faith.

Special Youth Projects and Programs
Erin Mills United Church offers youth exceptional opportunities to explore their faith while helping others. Two notable past examples are:

The Jamaica Journey
In August 1999, 9 youth and 3 leaders traveled to Mandeville, Jamaica. They were welcomed there by Ridgemount United Church. While there, the youth painted the inside of a local school for young children as a community improvement. They also led a day of stories, music and games for the children. Powerful prayer meetings and fellowship nights were followed by worship together on Sunday morning. And, of course, the group did go to the beach!

The 2003 Habitat for Humanity Build
In 2003, Erin Mills youth participated in a Habitat for Humanity build in Cleveland. The youth plastered, painted and learned about the value of decent housing, how individuals can make a difference, and about faith in action.
